Common questions

Where do I find it in my host?

Vectorscope 2 is an AUv3 effect: your host lists it among its Audio Unit extensions, under Monolith DSP. Add it on the track or the bus you want to watch. If it does not show up, open the Vectorscope 2 app once and look again.

Why does the scope draw a single vertical line?

Because the input is mono: left and right carry the same signal, so the correlation stays at +1 and the balance at the center. A vectorscope shows the difference between two channels; give it a stereo source, such as a stereo track or an interface's two inputs. The built-in microphone is mono.

Which audio interfaces work on their own?

Any class-compliant USB audio interface that iPhone or iPad recognizes, with two inputs for left and right. Connect it, open the app, and allow it to use the input when it asks.

Does it record or send my audio?

No. Vectorscope only reads the audio it draws. Nothing is recorded, stored or sent.

What does it need?

iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. It runs on iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo.
